I rolled out my big slab Tuesday and today I cut out the sides for the box and I have some extra clay to make my design.

My sketch for my clay box. On the back side I'm doing a weaving pattern because I like the way the texture looks. On the left side I'm doing scales from a fish because I like fish. On the right side I'm just doing a zig-zag pattern because it looks like stair steps. On the top I'm putting a knob type piece so that you can open the lid easier. Also on the lid I have these four pieces helping hold the knob down and there is a squiggly piece going around the top. On the front of the box, I wanted something that would remind me of my time at AHS so I put the Andrews "A" with my name and the year I'm graduating.
